Ralph Vandenberg Architect Inc. is an award winning design firm located at the edge of the high-tech business center of Ottawa in Kanata. By design, we are a smaller firm that enables us to provide intimate service to our clients from initial planning and concept sketches, to development of technical details, through to on-site reviews during construction. Each of our valued Team members has been with us for years, and has varied and extensive experience with their particular area of expertise. As can be seen from our photographic examples, whether a small cottage, a large church, or an office renovation, we undertake projects where we can reflect our client's particular vision and requirements. To demonstrate some of our design sensibilities we created a "Sense of Place" for ourselves, when we purchased a derelict heritage building and transformed it into our own design studio, winning an Award of Excellence along the way from the City of Ottawa. We understand that not everyone can picture what a space might actually be like from two dimensional plans or elevations. To that end, we have developed three dimensional computer modeling capability and established the capacity to create "fly around" or "fly-through" videos to ensure our clients have a full understanding of the buildings and spaces being developed for their Place. We can communicate in whatever means suits our clients best, from more traditional methods of phone and fax, but also more currently via email and remote desktops that enable efficient liaison even for our out-of-town projects.
